Visit the San Juans!

Sparkling blue waters. Deep green forests. The San Juan Islands -- Lopez, Orcas and San Juan -- are inspiration for the senses. They are also part of their own Washington State designated scenic byway!

Just a scenic ferry ride from Anacortes, or short flight from the northwest Washington mainland, lies a paradise for the adventuous in spirit, whether you yearn for the slow pace of "island time" or the excitement of new experiences.

Hiking. Biking. Sea kayaking. Whale and wildlife watching. Boating and birding. Plenty of time for leisurely casual meals or fine dining, for exploring galleries and boutiques, for strolling beaches and charming small villages, and for discovering the delights of history and art museums, farmers markets, parks and public lands.

With an average of 247 days with sunshine and about half the rainfall of the Seattle area, it's no wonder visitors are attracted to the islands year round. Each of the islands has something special to offer. So breath deeply, leave your cares behind and come be inspired.
