Top 5 Places to Camp Along the Cascade Loop

Do you enjoy the great outdoors, sleeping under the stars, and huddling around a campfire at night with your loved ones while roasting marshmallows over a hot flame?

If you said yes to any of those questions, then it sounds like you’re ready for an adventure!

It’s that time of year again when North Central Washington is greeted with beautiful weather and perfect conditions for an amazing camping trip.

We’ve compiled a top 5 list of some of the best places along the Cascade Loop to lay your tent and sleeping bag.

Now, let's dive right in.

1. Earthlight Campground

First up on our list is Earthlight campground. This spot will absolutely leave you speechless with all that it offers during your camping trip.

Nestled in the mountains of Orondo, this beautiful campsite is home to some of the most breathtaking views of the Entiat Mountains and Columbia River.

This spot is seriously every camper’s dream spot. Rather than having people camp next to you, every campsite at Earthlight offers total privacy to those occupying the spaces. You won't be able to take your eyes off the 360-degree view of the morning mellow sunrise or the fiery sunset as the light bounces off the mountains.

There are five campsites in Earthlight campgrounds. Each site can accommodate RVs, pets, and campfires. After that, you are on your own with amenities.

The roads were recently improved, so no more bumpy rides on your way to camper’s paradise.

2. White Aspen Camping Resort

Next up for you camping explorers is White Aspen Camping Resort. Located roughly 40 min South of Manson, WA, this unique dream spot is nestled along the mountain top ridge in the Entiat Mountains of central Washington State. The fresh mountain air and the scent of wildflowers growing along the landscape will astound you.

When it comes to camping styles, this spot offers it all. Head towards their rustic campsites that come complete with running water and firepits. Then, pitch your tent on their 673 private-acre lot.

White Aspen Camping Resort also offers private luxurious tent options complete with a cozy bed, private bathrooms, and amazing views. How about that for camping in style?

3. Four Lakes Winery

Head over to Four Lakes Winery and enjoy a night under the stars while surrounded by apple trees and grape vineyards.

Located in the hills of Manson, this spot has a bit of everything to enjoy during your camping trip. It has a beautiful lake to take a dip in during the day, vast areas to explore and hike, fishing, and wineries to go wine tasting before calling it a night back at the tent.

4. Camp Koda on Icicle Creek

If you’re looking for a spot that will surround you in a beautiful sea of green trees and nature, then Camp Koda on Icicle Creek is your spot.

Located 8 minutes outsides of the beautiful Bavarian-style town of Leavenworth, Camp Koda is the ideal traditional campsite for you and your family.

You’ll find yourself eager to explore the amazing forest, hike the nearby trails, bike around the fun terrain, or play in the river that sits next to the campsite.

5. Coyote Estates

The last campsite on our list is a real gem if you are a fan of stargazing. This spot will make you feel like you’re on a different planet at night as you gaze at the clearest view of the stars and milky way.

Travel 40 minutes North up the Cascade Loop, and you will arrive at Coyote Estates Campsite, where you will experience open range camping on top of a mountain plateau known as Harmony Heights.

You’ll be able to explore the vast landscape, hike the Okanogan Trails, and enjoy water activities once you finish setting up your camp right next to the Columbia River.

If you have a telescope or a camera with a good lens, remember to bring them along when it gets dark.
